Dr. SHELAGH WEIR    

Dr. Shelagh Weir was formerly Curator for the Middle East at the Museum of Mankind, British Museum, and is presently a Research Associate in the Dept of Anthropology, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.

She has arranged several major exhibitions on Middle Eastern and Asian cultures, and has published books on the bedouin of Jordan, Palestinian costume and embroidery, qat in Yemen, and law and politics in the northern highlands of Yemen.
