Information and updates on the construction of the new YCMES Campus...

The Main College Building is set to open in mid-June 2008 to house all classrooms, academic offices, administrative offices, the library, the cafeteria, and a conference/lecture hall.

Timeline:

May 10, 2008: Fourth floor ceiling is completed. 

May 1, 2008: Third floor interior is completed.

April 30, 2008: First and second floor interiors are completed. 

March 26, 2008: Third floor "Qamariya's" (decorative stained-glass windows) are installed.

March 23, 2008: Four floor construction begins on new campus building.

March 23, 2008: Two-story dining hall building construction is completed.

March 20, 2008: Third floor is completed with ceiling on new campus building.

March 3, 2008: Construction begins on Guest House premises for two-story dining hall and new kitchen.

February 3, 2008: Old Building is completely demolished.

January 20, 2008: Construction begins on adding third floor.

January 2, 2008: New sewage line is finished.

December 7, 2007: Foundation of main building is re-enforced.

November 28, 2007: Old building is demolished as it was structurally unstable. 

October 7, 2007: Construction begins

October 1, 2007:  Deed signed over to the Yemen College of Middle Eastern Studies
