This special offer includes the following:
1. Instruction: consisting of 4 hours of class per day, 5 days per week, for 5 weeks with classes being capped at eight students per class. All class materials except Al-Kitaab are provided (Al-Kitaab is the primary textbook and available for purchase at the YCMES library for $65/50).
2. Two meals per day: we offer breakfast and lunch, five days per week, Saturday through Wednesday.
3. Housing: A shared room in one of the Yemen Language Center's housing facilities. Please click here for a view of the YLC housing facilities.
4. Round Trip Airfare (optional): Special, Discounted RT Airfare by Yemenia
Europe: From Rome, London, Paris, or Frankfurt to Sana'a.
America: From New York, Boston, or Washington, DC.
5. Services: High-Speed internet, comprehensive library, health services, 24-hour on-call emergency staff, airport transportation, lecture series on Islam, History, Politics etc., projection theater, visa services, travel arrangements, and more.
6. Excursions: One four day excursion to Bayt Qateena, Tihama Region or a similar excursion and 2 day trips to historical sites in Yemen.
Registration Information
1. A
non-refundable $500 or 500 deposit is required to reserve a place in
the program. The balance of the tuition fee must be received no
later than 1 month prior to your arrival in Yemen. If full
payment is not received 1 month prior, a $200 late fee will be applied.
2. Refund Policy: The housing deposit and any tuition paid, minus the
$200/ 200 program deposit, will be returned to any student terminating
their program prior to arriving in Yemen, UNLESS tickets and visa have
been purchased. Tickets and visa are non-refundable. Cancellations and early departures after arrival in Yemen are
non-refundable during our summer terms.
Any additional airfare resulting from the early
termination will be the responsibility of the student.
Housing Information
1. Students are entitled to housing one day prior to and one day after the conclusion of study. Additional periods of stay may be arranged at a cost of $15/10 per night subject to availability.
2. A $50/50 housing damage and a $50/50 key deposit are due prior to arrival in Yemen ($100/100 total). The deposit will be returned to the student upon check-out according to the YLC Housing Guidelines.
3. Students may request a single room as available.
