Important

1. A non-refundable $500 or €500 deposit is required at least one month prior to arrival in order to reserve your place in the program.

2. Tuition is due in full no later than one month prior to arrival. A $200 late fee will be applied if full payment is not recieved before this time.

How to Apply

Applications are split into four categories: European and North American regular semester as well as European and North American summer term.

The first step is to choose which term you would like to study with us. Next, download and fill out the apporpriate application. Once you've completed our application scan it and e-mail it, along witha scanned copy of the information page of your passport, to PAL Program Officer Brian Lewis at PAL@ycmes.org.

Important: the YCMES has had difficulty in the past procuring visas for individuals with Israeli stamps in their passport or holding Iranian Citizenship. For indivduals holding Israeli stamps it is highly recommended you obtain a second passport.

Once your application as been recieved by our offices you will recieve a confirmation e-mail and a non-refundable $500 or €500 deposit will be required in order to reserve your place in the program.

Full payment of tuition must be received no later than 1 month prior to your arrival in Yemen. If not, a $200 late fee will be applied.

Refund Policy

The housing deposit and any tuition paid, minus the $200/ €200 program deposit, will be returned to any student terminating their program prior to arriving in Yemen, UNLESS tickets and visa have been purchased. Tickets and visa are non-refundable. If a student chooses to terminate their program after arriving in Yemen, two weeks written notice is required. The terminating student will receive a 50% refund on the tuition, housing and meals remaining after the two-week notice period. Any additional airfare resulting from the early termination will be the responsibility of the student.

Housing

Housing is included in the tuition price and students are entitled to housing one day prior to and one day after the conclusion of study. Additional periods of stay may be arranged at a cost of $15/€10 per night subject to availability.

Single rooms are available on request at an additional cost of $200 and are subject to limited availability.

A $50/€50 housing damage and a $50/€50 key deposit are due prior to arrival in Yemen ($100/€100 total). The deposit will be returned to the student upon check-out according to the YCMES Housing Guidelines.

Program Fees

Eligability for discounted student prices is dependant on proof of current status as a student. Proof can be in the form of a current student ID card, transcript, or other documentation indicating that you are a student, recent graduate, or planning to enroll.

Single rooms are available on request at an additional cost of $200 and are subject to limited availability.

From North America:

Includes a round-trip ticket from New York, Boston, or Washington DC, to Sana'a, tuition, housing, internet, 2 meals per day, 5 days per week, day trips, other various services.
